I've noticed my tastes in music don't always jibe with my spiritual predilections. Recently, I had Tori Amos's CD,
Little Earthquakes, in my CD player... that is, until I noticed how screamingly inappropriate the song, "Crucify," is for Great Lent. Tori Amos is a great musician, bless her heart, but her view of Christianity is a sad one. Sigh.
I've already listened to Boston Byzantine Choir's
Thy Passion and someone else's (I don't remember who, but I ordered it from P.S.A.L.M.)
With the Voice of the Archangel to the point where I'm getting sick of both, so if anyone has any better ideas for more Lent-friendly music, I'd love to hear them.
